Breakfast. Departure to the Guatemalan highlands, heading to Lake Atitlán, that according to Huxley is the most beautiful lake in the world. Arrival in Santa Catarina Palopó, one of the most visited villages on the lake, very famous for the colorful typical dress worn by the women and the beautiful textiles made here. Lodging
Tag 3: Lake Atitlan
Breakfast. We will have these days to get to know the towns that surround the lake, among which we recommend San Juan, Santiago, San Pedro and San Marcos, all of which are indigenous towns that have their own charm, history and culture. Walk along the famous Calle Santander or venture into the trails and suspension bridges of the Atitlan Reserve. Lodging
Tag 4: Antigua Guatemala
Lake Atitlan - La Antigua
Breakfast. We will continue our journey towards La Antigua, a colonial city that preserves all the charm of the 17th century, cobbled streets, wrought iron balconies, tile roofs and numerous baroque style buildings, declared "World Heritage" by UNESCO. Lodging
Tag 5: Antigua Guatemala
Breakfast. Day at leisure to enjoy La Antigua, taking a walk through the cobblestone streets appreciating its architectural styles of yesteryear to see its main monuments, visit the picturesque villages around Antigua or explore the Pacaya Volcano. Lodging
Tag 6: Copan
Breakfast. Departure from La Antigua towards the Honduran border. To get to the town of Copan, we recommend visiting the archaeological site of the same name, Copan, which holds wakes, pyramids, ball games and burials unique in the Mayan World. Lodging
Tag 7: Rio Dulce
Breakfast. Return to Guatemalan territory in the direction of Rio Dulce, a place of incredible natural beauty in the middle of one of the few natural reserves of tropical forest that has a great variety of fauna. On the way we recommend visiting the Quirigua archaeological site, which preserves some of the best stelae the Mayans ever built. Lodging
Tag 8: Flores/Peten
Rio Dulce - Petén
Breakfast. In the morning we suggest a boat ride in Rio Dulce, a place of exceptional ecological richness. We will continue towards to Petén jungle, which is home to several species of flora and fauna, which are part of the Mayan Biosphere Reserve. Lodging
Tag 9: Guatemala City
Peten - Guatemala
Breakfast. We will have this morning to visit some of the archaeological vestiges of the area, among which we recommend the Tikal National Park, the largest of the known Mayan cities. In the afternoon, delivery of the vehicle at the Peten airport and flight to Guatemala City. Reception and transfer to the hotel. Lodging
