DAY 1: Land transfer from hotel in the Quito district – Suchipakari Lodge / Check-in & Welcome Briefing
Our service is door-to-door from hotels located in the Quito district to Suchipakari Lodge. The vehicle used will depend on the number of passengers on the transfer. We have departures every day with a single morning schedule. The exact time will be coordinated and notified 1 day before according to the hotel’s location.
Upon arrival at the lodge, you will be able to check in, be greeted with a welcome (non-alcoholic) cocktail, and receive general information about the lodge and our activity itinerary.
Lunch is scheduled from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. After that, we’ll get ready with rubber boots to, along with our native guides who are experts in identifying the sounds of birds and monkeys, take you on a journey through the thick, humid jungle — crossing muddy trails, spotting all kinds of wildlife, and learning about Amazonian medicinal plants.
In the afternoon, we will enjoy a tubing experience from our private sandy beach on the Pusuno River. You will gear up with a life jacket and helmet, practice your paddling technique, and then float down the river at your own pace, feeling the adrenaline of the descent on the tubes. Afterwards, return to the Lodge and enjoy the facilities.
Dinner will be available at 7:30 p.m.
After dinner, we offer an optional night walk, a different way to experience the jungle after dark. With a flashlight in hand, discover nocturnal creatures like frogs, insects, and more.
Return to the lodge to rest.
DAY 2: Hike on Jumandy Lookout Trail / Kayak Activity
Start the day with a breakfast full of local flavors, perfect for energizing before immersing yourself in the Amazonian adventure.
After breakfast, we will embark on a jungle hike on the Jumandy Lookout Trail, where we will venture deep into the rainforest in search of its hidden wildlife. We will walk muddy paths, listen to the sounds of nature, and marvel at the panoramic view from a lookout hidden in the jungle.
We will return to the lodge for lunch. Afterwards, we will take part in a unique activity that allows us to let the current carry us as we navigate by kayak through the mysterious tributaries of the Pusuno River. Feel the excitement of exploring the jungle from the water, observing exotic birds and wildlife along the riverbanks.
Enjoy dinner under the starry Amazon sky and relax to the sound of nature before a well-deserved rest.
DAY 3: Chocolate Route Tour / Land Transfer from Suchipakari to Hotel in the Quito District
We will begin the day with a delicious breakfast.
Then we will immerse ourselves in the world of Amazonian chocolate, learning about the artisanal process of making it. We will participate in preparing the chocolate from the cocoa harvest to the final tasting, accompanied by fresh regional fruits.
At the end of the activity, we will check out of the lodge and take the return transfer back to the city of Quito.
