Delphi: Considered the centre of the world in the Greek culture, Delphi is best represented by the famous stone monument, known as the Omphalos of Delphi.
Meteora: In a region of almost inaccessible sandstone peaks, monks settled on these 'columns of the sky' from the 11th century onwards.
Day 1: ATHENS – DELPHI (190km– 2.5hrs)
Leave for Delphi via Thebes, Levadia and the picturesque village of Arachova, on to the slopes of Mount Parnassus (short stop). Visit the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios (Treasury of the Athenians, Temple of Apollo etc) and the museum. Afternoon free. Enjoy dinner and overnight at Delphi.

Day 2: DELPHI – KALAMBAKA (230km– 3hrs)
Breakfast at the hotel and free morning at leisure. Leave Delphi for an interesting trip through Central Greece and the town of Lamia to Kalambaka. Enjoy dinner and overnight at Kalambaka.

Day 3: KALAMBAKA – ATHENS (350km– 4.5hrs)
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning visit Meteora, among striking scenery, perched on top of huge rocks seem to be suspended in mid-air, stand ageless monasteries, where you can see exquisite specimens of Byzantine art. Return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia, Thermopylae (short stop to see Leonidas monument) and Kammena Vourla. Arrive in Athens early in the evening.
Comfortable and light clothing is the most suitable for travelling in Greece. Visitors should not wear sleeveless shirts, shorts, short skirts or skimpy clothing when visiting temples, religious or official buildings. Sun protection, sunglasses, a hat and mosquito repellent can be very useful during your stay.
