DAY 01: TACNA IN – PANORAMIC CITY TOUR & COUNTRYSIDE
Reception and transfer to your chosen hotel. 2:30 PM Hotel pick-up. This tour will take you through the heart of the city, including its historic center (Cathedral, Ornamental Fountain, Monument to the Heroes), the urban area with the Muslim Mosque, Bolognesi Avenue, the natural plant zoo, and the commercial districts. You will then venture into the agricultural zone, visiting the district of Pocollay with one of the wineries on the wine and pisco route to sample local products. Next, you will travel along the scenic Calana road, offering a glimpse into Tacna's past, and finally, the district of Pachia with its church and a gastronomic area to savor the delicious corn cake. You will also visit the largest archaeological site in southern Peru, featuring the Miculla Petroglyphs and its suspension bridge—an adrenaline-pumping experience. The tour concludes with a visit to the Calientes hot springs resort, a recreational area with its famous thermal waters.
DAY 2: TARATA - TICACO
Breakfast. Hotel pick-up. Taking the Tarata-Ticaco tour is a unique way to connect with nature. This tour includes a visit to the Apacheta Natural Viewpoint, where you can admire two imposing volcanoes. We'll visit the Marriage Stones, where you'll learn the legend of the lovestruck couple. We'll continue to the land of apples and its colonial church, then explore the Plaza de Armas of Tarata and its San Benedicto Church (Lunch). Afterward, we'll enjoy a trek along the Inca Trail, where we'll marvel at the pre-Inca citadel of Santa María, the Kala Kala Stone Forest, the agricultural terraces, and waterfalls. We'll finish by relaxing in the Ticaco hot springs. Return. Overnight in Tacna.
DAY 3: CONCHANCHIRI WATERFALLS
Hotel pick-up. This tour visits the highlands of Tarata, where along the way we will observe the Vicuña Reserve, rheas, and camelids in general. We will also pass through small towns like Mamuta and Kallapuma, and visit the colonial churches of Conchanchiri, before enjoying the view of the waterfalls and taking magical photos. Afterward, we will depart for the Calachaca hot springs where we will have access to the thermal baths to relax (entrance fees not included). Return to Tacna. DAY 4: TACNA OUT Breakfast. At the appropriate time, transfer to the station/airport for your return to your city of origin or to continue your trip.
